Each of the twenty aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases catalyzes the aminoacylation of a specific tRNA or tRNA isoaccepting family with the cognate amino acid. Tissue Specificity: Ubiquitously expressed, but highest expression in tissues with high metabolic rates, such as skeletal muscle,heart, and kidney.
